Bluzelle launches mainnet decentralized storage for NFT content

Bluzelle, a decentralized storage platform, announced the release its mainnet R2 file system. This is designed to improve the decentralization and decentralization of nonfungible tokens, (NFT), as well as their associated data.

This was in response to growing concerns about the immutability of the InterPlanetary File System protocol (IPFS). It is a relatively unexplored model of storage that serves as the gold standard for most NFT assets, including Cryptopunks or Beeple.

Jonty Wareing, a Twitter user, shared a popular assessment of the fundamental flaws in IPFS for NFT project.

Kurzfassung: The NFT token that you purchased points to either a URL on Internet or an IPFS haveh. It refers to an IPFS gateway that is run by the startup from which you purchased the NFT. That URL is not the media. This URL is a JSON metadata data file

Bluzelle stated in their announcement that their service has a number of prominent uses, including NFT content around 3D digital art and video reels.

Bluzelle CEO Pavel Bains spoke with Cointelegraph about NFT’s assets as well as data transitioning from IPFS storage into a truly decentralized system.

IPFS is a distributed network. But it doesn’t assure decentralized storage. Your NFT is only available in one node. This node can be down. Bluzelle, which can ensure that assets are safe in multiple locations at once, is a good option if users don’t wish to take that risk.

Bluzelle’s infrastructure is already deployed on Mintable. It will be applied to a number of other NFT marketplaces over the next few months, subject to successful testing.

This decentralized model will give buyers and holders assurances that their NFT assets are safe and secure. It also makes it possible to protect them in the event of platform shutdown.

Bains shared his expectations regarding the mainnet launch and offered his view on the possible impact that implementation might have on Bluzelle’s ecosystem over the next one year.

“This is our first real application case. Similar to how ICOs were created for Ethereum. It is possible to focus on a single area and serve only those customers. Bluzelle will be able to create new features for NFTs, which I believe will help them grow and expand in new ways. “
